A: In order to effectively treat each patient, it is necessary to take diagnostic x-rays upon an initial visit as well as yearly x-rays to ensure there are no major changes. We offer in-office x-rays with our digital x-ray machine which means you do not have to go to another office for x-rays or wait for images to be developed. Single x-rays and full mouth x-rays are usually covered by insurance.
A: No! It is a common misconception that it is better to rinse after brushing your teeth than not at all. This is false, though! After you brush your teeth, there is a protective covering of fluoride left over. If you rinse, either with water or mouthwash, you are essentially washing this protective covering away!

- Floss at least once a day. (If you are only flossing once a day, doing it at night is the best so you can get rid of any food that may be left in between your teeth before you go to bed!)
- Use mouthwash daily.
- Eat a balanced diet.
- Rinse your mouth with water after eating or drinking sugary products.
- Avoid tobacco products or smoking products.
